YURI USHAKOV

My name is Yuri Ushakov and I have been deeply immersed in competitive hockey for 21 years.

I was born and raised in Upstate, New York and I started playing hockey at the age of 2. Growing up I was fortunate to have always played at the highest level growing up. Growing up I played for the ‘Clifton Park Dynamo’ AAA program in Upstate New York, which allowed me to experience once in a life time opportunities such as.. Brick Invitational, Peewee Quebec International, and Nationals.
At the age of 15 I was drafted to the Syracuse Stars ‘NCDC’, and then at the age of 16 I was drafted to the Peterborough Petes ‘OHL’.

After my Junior/Major Junior hockey career, I transitioned into being a Skills/Power Skating coach in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Over the last 3 years living in Utah, I have been a private skills coach down in the Salt Lake Valley and up in Park City. Working with hundreds of players from the Learn to skate level, all the way to the NCAA level. I was also a Head Coach for a 14A’ team in Utah, ultimately winning a State Championship.

My goal as a coach is to help players unleash and maximize their hockey ability. So each player can be the best player they can be.
